How the PIP Checker Works
Our PIP appeal check asks about all 12 daily living and mobility activities. For each activity, select the descriptor that best matches what applies on most days. The result is an estimate, not an award prediction.

The Reliability Test
When answering, apply the reliability test to each activity. Ask yourself: can I do this activity safely? Can I do it repeatedly throughout the day? Can I do it to an acceptable standard? Can I complete it in a reasonable time? If the answer to any of these is no, that may support a higher descriptor.

- 0–7 points daily living: No daily living component awarded
- 8–11 points daily living: Standard rate daily living (£76.70/week)
- 12+ points daily living: Enhanced rate daily living (£114.60/week)
- 0–7 points mobility: No mobility component awarded
- 8–11 points mobility: Standard rate mobility (£30.30/week)
- 12+ points mobility: Enhanced rate mobility (£80.00/week)
