- Descriptor 1c: Cannot cook a simple meal using a conventional cooker but can using a microwave — 2 points (e.g. photophobia prevents use of hob, tremor makes knife unsafe)
Managing therapy or monitoring a health condition
- Descriptor 3c: Needs assistance to manage medication or therapy — 2 points (e.g. cannot self-inject, cannot apply cream to back)
Reading and understanding signs, symbols and words
- Descriptor 8e: Cannot read or understand signs, symbols or words — 8 points (e.g. visual aura causes blindness, illiteracy with cognitive impairment)
Engaging with other people face to face
- Descriptor 9d: Cannot engage with other people due to significant distress or risk of harm — 8 points (e.g. phonophobia, violent reactions, complete avoidance)
